EASTER

Just before Jesus was put to death, He spent his last hours with His disciples, fortifying them for what was to come.  He assured them of a future home and gave them work to do.

This has always been God's way with man. Through disobedience he was dispossessed of his God-given inheritance. Under harsh conditions man was to make his way in a world now damaged and hostile. He had become a fugitive.

Since the dawn of time God reminded man that in His faithfulness He would restore man's lost estate. The time had come to do so. Jesus was God's appointed Redeemer, restoring those who found refuge in Him.

Man still seeks a haven and a purpose. Jesus, the risen Messiah King, would now have us to 'gospel' others with the news that in him we have both  mansion and meaning.

It is for man to take up residence there and get to work restoring others.
